The Venus charms are one of a kind pieces inspired by ancient fertility talismans. Depictions of feminine and masculine genitalia have existed in art and adornment throughout history and are found in some of the earliest forms of prehistoric art. Paleolithic civilizations created sculptures of vulvas as far back as 35,000 years ago. Ancient Greeks and Romans adorned their bodies and homes with phalluses to ward off evil and bring good luck. Ancient Sumerians regarded the vulva as a portal to the divine, depicting it in sculpture, jewelry and ceramics. Mythology related to gods and goddesses of fertility has flourished on all continents from South America to Egypt to Japan.

TURN AROUND & SHIPPING

Unless we have this piece in stock, it will be made to order for you and may take 4-6 weeks to ship. Please email us at info@ochreobjects.com if you need something by a certain date.

Our default shipper for all domestic orders is UPS or Fedex for a flat rate of $15. All items are insured for their full value, and are sent with delivery confirmation. Any item over $500 will be sent signature required. If you cannot be home to sign for your package, we can send it without signature required but are not liable for its loss or damage. All orders are accompanied with tracking information. All international orders are shipped via DHL Express Worldwide or UPS Express Worldwide for a flat rate of $45.

Please note that international buyers are responsible for any and all duties and customs charges that may be incurred. 

Any orders shipped within California will incur sales tax, since Ochre Objects is based in Los Angeles, CA.

SIZING

We offer complimentary resizing on all of our rings, unless they are specified as not size-able. If you receive your ring and decide you need a sizing adjustment, need help determining your correct ring size, or need a different size than what is listed, send us an email at info@ochreobjects.com and we can help.

RETURNS AND CANCELLATIONS

Order cancellations must be requested within 24 hours of purchase and will incur a 5% processing fee to cover credit card transaction fees. Orders cannot be cancelled after 24 hours. 

All sales are final, returns are only accepted if you receive a wrong or damaged shipment. We do not make exceptions to this policy.
