Designer Bio

Ochre Objects was founded by designer Cynthia Horrigan. Cynthia studied fine art at Pratt Institute where she took her first jewelry and metalsmithing class as a sculpture credit. Immediately after being introduced to metalwork, she fell hard for the craft. After graduating she worked for a number of independent designers in all facets of the industry, before designing her own collection in 2014.
In 2016, Cynthia relocated to Los Angeles to pursue Ochre Objects full-time and has since grown her once side-hustle into a growing brand. Her work is rooted in her interest in art history, vintage jewelry, modernist sculpture, and the American Southwest. Cynthia believes jewelry is a form of storytelling and sees her work as way to connect to our personal histories. All of the prototypes for Ochre Objects pieces are created by her own two hands and imperfection is an important element in her work, both aesthetically and conceptually.
